Who is this class for?

Our competition class is designed for athletes who are preparing for Brazilian Jiu-jitsu competitions.

It’s also a good idea to attend competition class even if you aren’t training for an upcoming tournament, as it’s a great way to maintain competition levels of fitness whilst helping your teammates to prepare.

What are your BJJ competition classes like?

Through strategic training, game planning, and competition style matches, we aim to equip you with the tools you need to succeed in your upcoming BJJ competition.

In this class we do positional sparring to make sure you can practice all the different situations you might find yourself in at a competition level, as well as full sparring shark tanks to really push you, both mentally and physically.

After the physical training we have an open discussion where you can ask questions to our coaches and talk through anything on your mind that will help for your competition.

Why should I attend competition class?

Attending competition class is a great way to keep yourself ready for competitions and to maintain your peak fitness levels. It’s a place where you can push yourself to a point you didn’t think possible, so that when you step on the mats for your competition you are as prepared as can be. Whilst daunting at first, it is often said that competition class is the highlight of the week for people who attend.

At Fighting Fit Manchester we have an abundance of quality competitors, who you can draw learnings from to improve your game. To add to this, our head coach, Martyn Cahill, is a 3rd degree BJJ black belt who is always striving to make you a better competitor, whether that be through preparing game plans for your upcoming competitions or analysing footage from previous matches.
