Brazilian Jiu-jitsu for beginners

Starts Monday 28th October

  • £150 course fee includes 6 weeks of training, 2 x sessions a week and your kimono.

  • You must start this course on the date specified.

  • Coaching from high-level brown and black belt instructors, Oyinda Oduntan and Paul McGillion. 

  • Beginners booklet explaining positions and concepts. 

  • Classes are Monday & Wednesdays 6pm

Is it suitable for me?

Yes. It is designed for complete beginners or those with limited experience. There's no required fitness or skill level to join. You'll learn fundamental positions and concepts of Brazilian jiu-jitsu and gain the skills and confidence to move into our mixed level white belt technique classes.

What can I expect?

BJJ is a complex martial art that takes a commitment of time to see progression. In order to improve at a rate where you'll feel satisfied, we believe you need to be training at least twice a week. This course will help you to develop good training habits which will enable you to feel like you're making good ground in the early stages of your BJJ training. 

 

You'll learn important concepts that underpin the sport and drill techniques with a partner. At the end of the course you'll get the chance to demonstrate what you've learned. You can expect to see an improvement in your fitness, mobility and overall confidence!

What's included and what does it cost?

The course runs for 6 week, includes 2 x weekly sessions and costs £150 (this includes your gi worth £65). You'll receive a beginners booklet explaining the positional hierarchy and expert coaching from 2 high level black and brown belts. The course fee is non-refundable within 4 weeks of the starting date. Automatic enrolment onto our £85 membership after graduation; with access to unlimited martial arts classes. Option to opt out of this before graduation.
